An iconic collection of silhouettes featuring witches riding various mounts, plus Devils and diverse winged creatures, all celebrating Walpurgisnacht. Inspired by Goethe’s account in Faust. Sadly lacking one plate (which features the Devil as depicted on the portfolio cover). On the reverse of the title page are 12 titles, but the plates themselves are not numbered.
