A novel by Gardner under the magical name SCIRE. O.T.O. 4=7. On the surface it is a story of medieval magic, but with this work Gardner attempted to put forth his thoughts on the occult and witchcraft in the guise of fiction. Sales were not great and Gardner took a stack of books to The Witches Mill where he often heavily discounted them or gave away signed copies for free to advance the cause.
