A foldout pamphlet, the Dead Star 5 Nova Broadcast by William S Burroughs (see other listing) contained the first cut up of Dutch Schulz’s last words. Dutch was a New York gangster and his rambling soliloquy on his death bed was taken down verbatim by a police officer looking for information about The Mob. How did WSB get hold of this? Anyway he chopped in significant amounts of his own additional text. Discovering the extent of these changes prompted me to make a response by hand writing the actual last words of Dutch Schulz around an altered image of Heidi Leiberfarb cut out of Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine in 1975.
