Inscribed, signed and dated 1904 by the author on half title page. This work, translated by John Talbot Clifton (1868-1928), collects together "two or three books on fortune telling by swords" which Clifton discovered "while wandering in Japan." Short preface followed by 52 full page plates depicting sword idiosyncrasies and their divinatory meanings. Scarce.
