Andrew McKenzie was born in England in 1963, on the anniversary of Salvador Dali's birth. He has worked with research into the corporal, psychological and spiritual effects and applications of sound for over 15 years. He has collaborated with many individuals over the years, most frequently under the generic project name THE HAFLER TRIO.
Genesis P-Orridge founded COUM Transmissions in 1969, a Performance Art group that was to be at the forefront of radical performance throughout Europe during the early 1970s, culminating in the transitional show PROSTITUTION at the I.C.A. Gallery in 1976. It was at this time that he rejected the complacency of the Art World, forming the Industrial Music group Throbbing Gristle. T.G. produced several albums of experimental music until their cessation of activity in 1981. He then founded Psychic TV, a collaborative project for music and video work. Simultaneously he initiated Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth as an autonomous, non-hierarchical body. He died in 2020.
